Well I finally finished the painting of the egret; it is 12 x 18, and titled "On the Rocks". It will not be available on eBay, but is one of the many painting I plan to create for a wildlife show next year. As promised, here is the pic:
I have loved to draw and create for as long as I can remember. Being an animal lover also helped to form me into the artist I am today. Cats and dogs are a big part of my life, and I enjoy capturing their personality and character in my work.
I am a primarily self-taught artist who has developed my own unique way of creating portraits. I work from photographs, usually taken by myself, although this is not always possible, especially for those clients living far from me. I enjoy meeting the dog or cat whose portrait I create. Sometimes this is not possible, as the beloved pet has passed on. In these cases, I will work from the clients photographs. If a client elects to have their portrait created from their own photographs, all will be returned, and the utmost care taken in preserving those photos.
I live in South Carolina, near Charleston, and have been living here for over 30 years. I am married, and have three children, two teenagers at home and one twenty-something who is married and is the mother of my grandson and granddaughter.
